Rosario löysi vedoksen, kun oli opiskelemassa ulkomailla, Jyväskylässä: Löysin sen keskeltä yliopiston kirjaston portaikkoa. Totta puhuen en ensin halunnut poimia sitä, mutta viisas ystäväni sanoi: "Älä murehdi, pahin skenaario: se on rivo kuva". Kävi ilmi, että se on kaunis taideteos, jonka mukana oli merkityksellinen selitys siitä, miksi kirje oli niin oudossa paikassa. [...] Tunnen itseni onnekkaaksi, kun se nyt on omassa huoneessani omassa kotimaassani, toisella puolella maailmaa: Chilessä.


Rosario found the print while studying abroad in Jyväskylä, Finland: I found it at the middle of the staircase of the university library. The truth is that I was not eager to pick it up, but a wise friend told me: "Don't worry, worst case scenario: it's a d*ck pic". Turns out it was a beautiful piece of art with a meaningful explanation of why it was in such an odd place. [...] I feel very lucky to have it now in my room at my home country, at the other side of the world: Chile.

Jarkko kirjoittaa: Löysin kirjeen Yliopiston apteekin aulasta. Ensialkuun olin ensin hieman jännittynyt sen avaamisesta, koska se ei ollut osoitettu kenellekään tietylle henkilölle. Kun lopulta avasin kirjeen, en ilahtunut pelkästään siksi, että kuva oli kaunis ("Evening tea"), vaan myös siksi, että on hieno idea jättää tämänkaltaisia kirjeitä ympäriinsä. Vein kuvan kotiin ja nyt se roikkuu jääkaapin ovessa muutamien muiden kuvien ja sitaattien joukossa.

First, when saw the letter, I was a bit nervous about opening it since it was not addressed to any specific person. Tuntematon löytäjä kertoo: Näin kirjekuoren parkkihallissa. En ensin nostanut sitä, koska minulla oli kiire ja epäilytti. Kirjekuori jäi kuitenkin häiritsemään minua ja palasin hetken päästä hakemaan sen. Kortissa oli kuva teekupista. Teekuppi muistutti myös kahvikuppia, joten suurena kahvinjuojana päätin pitää kortin itselläni.

Anonymous finder tells: I saw the envelope at the parking garage. I didn't pick it up first, because I was in a hurry and I was suspicious. However, the thought of envelope started disturbing me and after a while I went back to get it. The print depicted a tea cup. Tea cup looked like a coffee cup, so as I drink a lot of coffee, I decided to keep it.

Mari löysi kirjeen Jyväskylän yliopiston kirjaston portailta: Minun ei ollut edes tarkoitus mennä tuona päivänä käymään kirjastossa, mutta koska tietokoneeni nettiyhteys ei toiminut, menin päiväksi opiskelemaan kirjastolle. Luettuani monta tuntia kirjatenttiä varten kävelin väsyneenä kirjastosta ulos ja huomasin portailla kirjekuoren. [...] Kotiin päästyäni avasin kirjeen ja olin iloisesti yllättynyt sen sisällöstä. Vedoksen iltatee sopii minulle täydellisesti, koska rakastan teetä ja olen iltaihminen. Uskon, että minun oli tarkoitus löytää tämä vedos, joten pistän sen omalle seinälleni!

Mari found an envelope from the stairway of the Jyväskylä University library: I wasn't even supposed to go to the library that dat, but because my net connection didn't work, I went anyway, to study. After reading several hours for an exam, I was tired when I walked outside library and noticed an envelope on the steps. [...] I opened the envelope at home, and I was positively surprised to see its contains. 'The Evening Tea' fits me perfectly because I love tea and I'm an evening person. I believe that it was meant for me to find this print, so I'll hang it on my own wall.

Fanny löysi vedoksen Jyväskylästä:  Olin kävelemässä lämpimässä iltapäiväauringossa pyöräkorjaamolle hakemaan pyörääni, ja päätin hetken mielijohteesta kiertää reitiltä hieman ja kävellä Seminaarinmäen läpi. Pysähdyin ensin ottamaan kuvaa omenapuista täydessä kukassa, ja kun laskeuduin portaat alas Jyväskylän yliopiston kirjastolle, huomasin oven vieressä ikkunalasiin nojaavan kirjekuoren. Utelias kun olen, kävelin lähemmäs nähdäkseni, kenelle kirje oli osoitettu. Oli kuin suoraan Viisikoista löytää mystinen kirje, joka vielä oli osoitettu minulle! Eilen löysin neliapilan, tänään mystisen kirjeen, jossa taideteos, mitäköhän löydän huomenna?

Fanny found the envelope in Jyväskylä: I was walking in the sunny, warm afternoon to the bike shop to pick up my bike, and I got this impulse to walk a bit different route through the Seminaarinmäki area. I first stopped to take photos of the fully blossoming apple tree, and when I then went down the stairs to the Jyväskylä University Library, I noticed that there was an envelope leaning to the window glass. Curious that I am, I walked closed to see, to whom the envelope was adressed to. It was just like from the 'Famous Five' books to find a mystical envelope, that was addressed to me! Yesterday I found a four-leaf clover, today a mystical envelope with an artwork in it, I wonder what tomorrow will bring?

Ella löysi kirjeen Jyväskylästä.  Ilahduin suuresti löytäessäni vedoksen, koko projekti toi mieleeni Amélie-elokuvan. Vedos oli mielestäni niin hieno, etten raaskinut antaa sitä kenellekään eteenpäin vaan päätin pitää sen itse ja laitoin sen huoneeni seinälle.

Ella found the envelope in Jyväskylä. I was delighted to find the print, the whole project reminded me of the film Amélie. I found the print so exquisite, that I didn't want to pass it on, but I decided to keep it myself and hang it on my room.

Anna kertoo: Löysin kirjeen yliopiston kirjaston rappusilta. Epäröin alkuun, saanko oikeasti ottaa kirjeen itselleni, mutta kirjekuoren osoitus "sinulle, kuka ikinä oletkin" kuulosti houkuttelevalta. Kun huomasin, että kyseessä oli taideprojekti, innostuin lisää! Koska olen kiinnostunut taiteista ja harrastan sitä itsekin jonkin verran, otin kirjeen nopeasti itselleni siinä pelossa, että joku muu ehtisi muuten ottaa sen ennen minua. Avasin kirjeen samantien kävellessäni kotiin ja aloin heti miettimään, kuinka hauskaa tälläisen projektin toteuttamisen täytyy olla! Vedos teekupista on kaunis. Aion antaa sen äidilleni lahjaksi tänäiltana, kun menen käymään hänen luonaan.

Anna writes: I found the envelope from the stairs of the University Library. I first hesitated to pick it, but the text upon it, 'To You Whoever You Are', sounded invitating. When I noticed that it's an art project, it made me even more excited! Because I'm interested in arts and it's also my hobby, I picked the envelope fast before anyone else got to it. I opened the envelope rightaway, as I was walking back home, and I started to think about how fun it must be to make this kind of project! The print of the tea cup is beautiful. I'm planning to give it to my mother as a gift, when I go to visit her this evening.

Vedoksen tunnelmassa yhtyvät päättyvä päivä, iltatee, päivän aikana kertyneet kokemukset, illan rauha. Kupissa höyryää tähtitaivas ja kuukin nousee.

Terhi found the print from the Jyväskylä Artists' Association Artotheque: I had to ask the personnel, if I really got to keep this. [...] 'An evening tea' print will be placed on my own wall. In the print, the day, evening tea, the experiences throughout the day, and peacefulness of evening are combined. The starry sky is steaming in a cup, and even the moon is rising.

Nimetön kertoo löytäneensä kirjeen kirjastolta, mutta ei aio pitää vedosta itse: Kun tämän jälkeen kävelin kadulla, vastaan tuli tupakoiva henkilö. En pystynyt väistämään, koska kävelykadulle oli pystytetty este. Ajattelin, että tarvitsen kortin, jonka voin lahjoittaa vastaantulijalle ja jossa on terveiset: Ethän tupakoi kadulla. Lahjoitan vedoksen seuraavalle henkilölle, joka kävelee kadulla vastaan tupakoiden. Tupakansavu vie hengitysilman. Savuton ihminen on kaunis. Miksi kaunis ihminen tupakoi?

Anonymous person tells that she/he found the envelope from the library, but won't be keeping it for himself/herself: After finding the envelope, I was walking down the street and when a person who smoked came towards me. I couldn't avoid walking right past this person, because there was an obstacle on the walkway. I thought I would need some kind of card that I could give, with a greetings: Please, don't smoke on the street. I will give this print to the next smoking person I meet on the street. The smoke steals your breathing air. A non-smoking person is beautiful. Why does a beautiful person smoke?

Linda löysi kirjeen Helsingin matkailutoimistosta muutamia kuukausia sitten: Mielenkiintoista - rakastan teetä, joten oli hienoa löytää vedos kuin se olisi odottanut juuri minua. Nyt se on täällä Helsingissä toimistossani nautittavanani. Aion pitää sen.

Linda found the print in the tourist office in Helsinki some months ago: Interestingly, I'm a tea lover, so was thrilled to find the print waiting just for me. Now it's in my office here in Helsinki, where I'm enjoying it. I plan to keep it.

Emmi ehti ensin kulkea kirjeen ohitse, vaikka ehtikin lukea, mitä kirjekuoreen oli kirjoitettu ("Sinulle, kuka ikinä oletkin"). Hän kuitenkin päätti palata ja napata kuoren käsiinsä: Teos "An Evening Tea" on oikein sopiva, sillä juon hyvin paljon teetä ja löysin kirjekuoren ollessani hakemassa postista lähetystä, joka sisälsi matcha-teen valmistuksessa käytettävän vispilän.

Emmi first walked past the envelope, although she had read the text ("To You Whoever You Are") on the envelope. However, she decided to go back and pick the envelope: The print called "An Evening Tea" was just right, because I drink a lot of tea, and I found the envelope as I went to post office to pick a parcel, which included a whisk used in making matcha tea.

Anna ja Annina menivät löysivät kirjeen mennessään lounaalle. Anna kertoo: Pidimme tätä ilahduttavana yllätyksenä ja  vedosta ainutkertaisena. Päätimme, että otan vedoksen, ja saa nähdä, pidänkö sen itse, vai annanko jollekin muulle. Pidän vedoksen väreistä, joten ehkä kehystän sen ja pidän itse :)

Anna and Annina found an envelope containing a letter and artwork as they were going to get some lunch. Anna writes: We thought this was a really delightful surprise and fun to think that the print is one-of-a-kind. We decided that I'll take the print and see if I'm going to keep it or give it to someone else. I love the print's colors and aesthetics so I might frame it and keep it. :)

Jonna found the envelope from entrance hall of university library. She writes: It felt really personal eventhough it could have been anyone who could have have it. Somehow artwork also felt very personal because I'm a "nightowl" who gets inspired at night time and loves tea! It can't be coincidence?

Heidi löysi kirjeen jo ennen joulua: Olimme mieheni kanssa Kauppatorin kauppahallissa lauantailounaalla, jolloin silmäni osuivat kirjeeseen. Vähän epäröiden tartuin kirjeeseen ja avasin sen. Teos "an evening tea" oli kuin minulle henkilökohtaisesti tehty. Iltatee kuuluu jokailtaiseen rauhoittumiseeni ja siksi halusin kehystää teoksesi keittiömme seinälle Katajanokan kotiimme. Siellä se siis ihastuttaa meitä päivittäin.


Heidi found the envelope already before the Christmas: My husband and I were at The Old Market Hall on a Saturday lunch, when I noticed the envelope. I hesitated to take the letter, but I took it and opened it. The print 'An evening tea' was like personally made for me. An evening tea is my way of unwinding every evening, and that is why I wanted to frame your work on our kitchen wall in our Katajanokka home. There it continues to delight us every day.

Fabio is an Italian, currently living in Finland and he found the print at the train station in Oulu and took it to his home in Vicenza, Italy.

"I opened the letter for curiosity and kept it because I fell in love with the project. To me Art is something that has to suggest and fascinate, a way to introduce to ourselves a new stream of thoughts, and I think that this project is amazing. I came back home for the holidays, with the letter and the print inside my luggage, so that now your art is in my Home's kitchen for everyone to see."

Johan writes: We were visiting a small art exhibition in Helsinki and while looking for a painting to buy when we found a letter marked "To you, whoever you are". Now we have two paintings hanging on our wall; also the one called "Message in a bottle II".

Riina löysi vedoksen Raahen Prisman ilmoitustaululta! Se on meillä nyt kotona kehyksissä vitriinissä. Ihana projekti,  kesti hetken ennen kuin uskalsi kirjeen avata ja sieltä paljastui ihana ylläri!

Riina found the print on the bulletin board at supermarket Prisma in Raahe, Finland. It is now at our home, framed in a vitrine. A wonderful project, it took a while before I had to courage to open the letter, and a wonderful surprise was exposed!

Nora kertoo löytäneensä kirjeen Jyväskylän taidemuseosta museokaupassa olevan vihkon alta: Kiertelin kaupassa ja kävelin kirjeen ohi useamman kerran ennen kuin uskalsin ottaa sen mukaan. Kylläpäs oli ihana, päivää piristävä yllätys kirjeessä. Aivan mahtava projekti! Aion kehystää printin ja ripustaa seinälle huoneeseeni. Tummansini-harmaa onkin lempivärini ja rakastan teetä.

Nora tells that she found the envelope under one notebook at the Jyväskylä Art Museum Shop: I was touring around in the shop and I walked pass the envelope several times before I had the courage to pick it up. It was a wonderful, day cheering surprise. What a great project! I will frame the print and place it in my wall in my room. Grayish dark blue is my favourite colour and I love tea!

Kenneth found the print, a couple of weeks ago in Akateeminen Kirjakauppa, where I was looking for a book "How to hygge": The Blue cup of tea, as pictured in the print, fits perfect to this time of year, and the concept of Hygge. The print is now in his office...where we host a small art exhibit parallell to our Business of being Real Estate Agents.
