Katja kirjoittaa: Seitsemänvuotias tyttäreni löysi kirjekuoren Tampereen joulutorilta kahvilasta. Ensin pohdittiin saako kirjeen ottaa, mutta koska se oli osoitettu "sinulle kuka ikinä oletkin" päätimme ottaa sen. Yllätyimme iloisesti kun kirjeestä löytyi taideprintti. Se oli kuin joululahja ventovieraalta ja lämmitti mieltä. Kehystämme teoksen ja laitamme sen tyttäreni huoneeseen.

Katja writes: My seven-year old daughter found the envelope at the café at Tampere Christmas market. First we pondered if we could take the envelope, but because it was addressed 'To You Whoever You Are', we then decided to take it. We were positively surprised when there was an art print on the envelope. It was like a Christmas present from someone unknown and made us happy. We'll frame the print and set it to my daughter's room.

Jarkko kirjoittaa: Löysin kirjeen Yliopiston apteekin aulasta. Ensialkuun olin ensin hieman jännittynyt sen avaamisesta, koska se ei ollut osoitettu kenellekään tietylle henkilölle. Kun lopulta avasin kirjeen, en ilahtunut pelkästään siksi, että kuva oli kaunis ("Evening tea"), vaan myös siksi, että on hieno idea jättää tämänkaltaisia kirjeitä ympäriinsä. Vein kuvan kotiin ja nyt se roikkuu jääkaapin ovessa muutamien muiden kuvien ja sitaattien joukossa.

First, when saw the letter, I was a bit nervous about opening it since it was not addressed to any specific person. When I finally opened the letter, it made me happy not only because of the beautiful picture ("Evening tea") but because of the nice idea of dropping this kind of letters all around. I took the picture home and it's hanging on our fridge door with some other pictures and nice quotes.

Tuntematon löytäjä kertoo: Näin kirjekuoren parkkihallissa. En ensin nostanut sitä, koska minulla oli kiire ja epäilytti. Kirjekuori jäi kuitenkin häiritsemään minua ja palasin hetken päästä hakemaan sen. Kortissa oli kuva teekupista. Teekuppi muistutti myös kahvikuppia, joten suurena kahvinjuojana päätin pitää kortin itselläni.

Anonymous finder tells: I saw the envelope at the parking garage. I didn't pick it up first, because I was in a hurry and I was suspicious. However, the thought of envelope started disturbing me and after a while I went back to get it. The print depicted a tea cup. Tea cup looked like a coffee cup, so as I drink a lot of coffee, I decided to keep it.

Virve löysi kirjeen Linnoituksen Majurskakahvion eteisestä. Joku oli sen jo avannut, mutta jättänyt pöydälle. Ilahduin kuvasta ja viestistä! Ihana idea ja kiitos kuvasta, lahjoitan sen muotoiluinstituutista valmistuvalle pojalleni.


Virve found the envelope at the Majurska café hallway at the Lappeenranta fortress. Someone had already opened the envelope, but then left in onto table. The picture and note made me glad! A wonderful idea, and thank you for the picture, I will give to my son, who's graduating from the Institute of Design.

Leena löysi kirjeen Iitin kirkonkylän kesäkahvilan näyttelytilasta. Ilahduin kun löysin kirjeen tuolilta. Näyttely oli kiinnostava, mutta kuvasi oli tosi ihana. Mieleeni palasi keväinen Kroatian matka, kirkas Adrianmeri. Kiitos! 

Leena found the envelope at the show room of the summer cafe at the Iitti village. I was glad when I found the envelope from a chair. The exhibition was interesting, but your print was truly wonderful. I remembered my trip to Croatia in spring, the clear Adriatic Sea. Thank you!

Riikka kertoi, että kun hän löysin kuoren, hän epäili avaamista hetken. Laitoin sen jo takaisin paikkaan josta löysin sen. Käännyin kuitenkin takaisin ja nappasin sen mukaani. Onneksi, sillä kuoresta paljastunut vedos oli todella kaunis! Aion kehystää sen seinälle. Toivoisin että ihmiset useamminkin järjestäisivät toisilleen tälläisiä hauskoja yllätyksiä :)

Riikka wrote to me, that when she found the envelope, she hesitated opening it for a while. I put it back to the place where I had found it. However, I turned back and took the envelope with me. Luckily, since I find the print inside very beautiful! I'll frame it to my wall. I wish that people would make these kind of fun surprises more often to each other :)

Tiina oli maastopyöräilemässä Hossan kansallispuistossa Suomen Luonnon Päivänä 26.8.2017. Päivä oli hieno ja pyöräily sujunut mukavasti. Saavuimme Alavalkeisen autiotuvalle, jossa olin yöpynyt pari kertaa vuosia aikaisemmin melontaretkillä sekä telttaillut tuvan pihassa koirani kanssa vuosi sitten syksyllä. Mukava ja kaunis paikka. Ilahduin suuresti löytäessäni kirjeen tuvan pöydältä: Mitähän täällä on ... ja keneltä? Ilo vain kasvoi löydettyäni kirjeestä taideteoksen. Kuva oli juuri minulle mieluinen ja se pääseekin kehyksiin uuteen kotiini Kempeleeseen, jonne olin juuri muuttanut. Olen ilolla esitellyt sitä kaikille ja minulla on mukava tarina kerrottavana siitä.

Tiina was mountain biking at the Hossa national park at the Finnish Nature Day on August 26th, 2017. The day was great and biking had been nice. We arrived to Alavalkeinen cabin, where I had slept a couple of nights years ago on canoe trips, and where, on the yard, I had camped with my dog a year ago in autumn. Nice and beautiful place. I was very pleased to find an envelope on the cabin table: What is it... and from who? I just felt more joyous after finding an artwork in the envelope. I like the picture very much, and it will be framed and taken to my new home in Kempele, where I had just moved. I've happily shown it to everyone  and I have a nice story to tell about it.

Sini löysi kirjeen Kouvolan raviradalta koiranäyttelyn aikaan. Hauska sattuma, sillä minun ei pitänyt olla koko näyttelyssä. Näin kirjeen ja hetken aikaa mietiskelin, että mikä juttu tämä on, sitten nappasin kirjeen ja tutkiskelin sitä. Lopulta avasin kirjeen ja sisältä paljastui mukava yllätys, joka kyllä kruunasi koko päivän. Kehystin kuvan ja nyt se koristaa keittiötä.

Sini found the envelope at Kouvola racetrack during a dog show. It was fun coincidence, because I wasn't supposed to be at the show at all. I saw the envelope, and for a while I thought, what is this thing, then I took the envelope and watched it closer. Finally I opened the enveloped, and found the nice surpise in, it totally made my day. I framed the picture and now it's in my kitchen.

Jenna kertoo olleensa poikaystävänsä kanssa Repoveden kansallispuistossa juhlistamassa yhdessä asumisen vuosipäivää tekemällä jotain erilaista ja sellaista mitä he eivät olleet ennen yhdessä tehneet. Olimme jo kiertäneet Ketunlenkin, ja parkkipaikalle tullessamme halusin käydä vielä saniteettitiloissa ennen yli tunnin kotimatkaa. WC:n vieressä, pienessä kiven alla olevalla "katoksessa" näin valkoisen kirjekuoren, ja ajattelin että hei mikäs roska tuonne on jätetty! Sitten tutkin lähempää, ja oho, se olikin kirje, sisällään kuva ja pieni tarina projektistasi! Yleensä olisin jättänyt kirjeen odottamaan taiteellisempaa sielua kuin minä, mutta koin sen jotenkin tärkeäksi ottaa mukaan.

Jenna writes that she was at the Repovesi national park with her boyfriend, celebrating the anniversary of living together by doing something different that they hadn't done together before. We have toured the park, and as we were returning to our car, I still wanted to go to a toilet before an over hour trip back home. Next to toilets, in a small ledge of the rock I saw a white envelope, and thought that it's a litter someone left behind. Then I went closer, and oh, it was an envelope, and inside was a small picture and a story about your project! If it was just any other day I would have left the envelope waiting for more artistic soul than me, but I felt somehow important to pick it with me.

Heli löysi kirjekuoren Kajaanista Eino Leinon patsaalta. Meidän perheessä on Eino-niminen 3-vuotias poika, ja oltiin häntä kuvaassa veljesten kanssa suurmiehen Eino Leinon kanssa. Ihana löytö, ja kaunis kuva päätyi kotiimme Nurmijärvelle kehyksessä Einon huoneen seinälle.

Heli found the envelope in Kajaani, by the Eino Leino statue. We have a three year old son called Eino, and we were taking photo of him and his brothers with this historical figure*. A wonderful find, and the beautiful picture is now framed in Eino's room, in our Nurmijärvi home.

Toni & Marika kävelivät Lappeenrannassa kesäteatterinäytelmän jälkeen. Iloksemme huomasimme kirjeen lähellä vanhaa kirkkoa. Pidämme paljon kuvasta, jossa tyttö kylpee lautasella varjon alla, erityisesti, koska ajatus suojautumiselta liialliselta auringonvalolta on kaukainen muistutus siitä, mitä kesät ennen olivat :) Kehystämme kuvan ja se on aina muisto erityisen hienosta päivästä.

Toni & Marika took a stroll in Lappeenranta after seeing a play at the summer theatre. To our delight we happened to spot your letter near the old church. We really like the image of a girl bathing in a plate under a shade especially because the idea of hiding yourself from excessive sunlight is a distant reminder of how summers used to be  :-) The picture is going to be framed and stay as a memory from a special nice day in our lives.

Johanna vietti lomalaisen kesäpäiväänsä Pekka Heikkisen terassilla. Salaperäinen kirjekuori ensin ihmetytti ja sitten rohkeasti avattiin. Sieltähän paljastuikin toinen ihana kesäpäivä - kaunis taideprintti. Kiitos ilahduttavasta kokemuksesta, oli ilo olla osana taideprojektiasi. Itsekin olen taiteilijan tytär.

Johanna spent her summer day on holiday mood at the bakery-cafe Pekka Heikkinen & kumpp. terrace. The mysterious envelope first was puzzling, and then we opened it. It revealed another lovely summer day - a beautiful art print. Thank you for the delightful experience, it was a joy to be part of the art project. I'm a daughter of an artist myself.

Kati löysi kirjeen työpaikaltaan Serlachius-museo Gustafista, pääoven vierestä. Olimme kiertelemässä Mänttää uuden residenssiin tulevan taiteilijan kanssa ja annoin ensin kuoren hänelle ja vakuutin etten ole järjestänyt suloista yllätystä itse. Kuoresta löytyi kaunis pieni teos ja koska ihastuin siihen antoi taiteilija puolestaan sen minulle :D Teos on nyt kehystettynä kodissani. Yllätys oli ihana, se toi hauskan hetken päiväämme ja kauneutta kotiini. Haluaisin suunnitella jotain vastaavaa tuodakseni jollekin muullekin hyvän mielen.

Kati found the envelope at her workplace at the Serlachius museum Gustaf, next to the main door. We were touring around Mänttä with our new residence artist, and I first gave the envelope to him, and I convinced that I hadn't organized the sweet surprise by myself. There was a beautiful little print in the envelope, and because I was delighted by it, the artist gave it to me :) The print is now framed in my home. The surprise was wonderful, it brought a nice moment to our day and some art into my home. I would like to plan something similar to delight someone.

Malla löysi kirjeen Iitin kirkonkylän kesäkahvilasta 14.7., kun hän oli siivoamassa pöytiä päivän päätteeksi. Liekö ollut sattumaa vai harkittu teko, että jätit sen sinne juuri Iitin Taideseuran kahvilavuorolla. Jonkun toisen yhdistyksen vuorolla kirjeesi olisi saattanut päätyä suoraan roskiin. Nyt sattui kohtaamaan taiteesta kiinnostunut henkilö ja hauska taideteos, jonka päätin pitää itselläni. Kiva yllätys löytää tuollaista "postia".

Malla found the envelope at the Iitti village on July 14th, when she was cleaning tables at the end of the day. I don't know if it was a  coincidence or  deliberated to leave the envelope when it was the Iitti art society's turn at the café. Maybe the envelope would have ended to trash with some other society's shift. Now it was picked by a person who likes art and the artwork was fun, so I kept it myself. Nice surprise to find that kind of "mail."

Joni löysi kirjeen Mäntästä. Arvelisin, että otin kuoren mukaan Göstasta, mutta aivan varma en voi olla, sillä taiteen tulva pisti päätä pyörälle tuolloin. Vedos päätyy Jonin eteisgalleriaan Jyväskylään, muiden matkoilta löytyneiden pienikokoisten teosten seuraan!

Joni found the envelope in Mänttä. I guess I did pick the envelope in Gösta (museum), but I really cannot be quite sure, because all the art made my head spin. The print will have its new home at the hallway gallery at Joni's home in Jyväskylä, amongst other small artworks collected from his travels.

Minna haki tytärtään junalta Joensuun rautatieasemalta, kun hän näki Instagramissa kuvavihjeen kirjekuoresta, mutta joku muu onnekas oli ehtinyt sen löytää. Sitten kurvaus junalle ja tyttö kyytiin ja uusi kuvavihje oli sillä välin tullutkin. No eikun hirmuista vauhtia kaupungin teatterille ja siellä kirjekuori vielä odotteli! Olen onnekas :)

Minna was picking her daughter from the Joensuu railway station, when she noticed a photo tip about one Random Prints envelope in Instagram, but someone lucky had already found that one. I returned to the railway station, picked my daughter, and then found out another hint. I drove fast to the Joensuu City Theatre and there the envelope was waiting! I'm lucky :)

Pidän kuvasta paljon. Se on ihanan kesäinen ja saa minut hymyilemään. Punavalkoraidallisessa aurinkovarjossa on sitä jotain. Laitan kuvan ehdottomasti omalle seinälle.

Saara ja Henrik löysivät kirjekuoren yliopiston pihalta. Kuori herätti mielenkiinnon otsikoinillaan ja päätimme avata sen heti. Mietityttämään jäi projektin tarkoitus. Kuva on kaunis ja siinä on hyvä idea ja haluan todellakin pitää kuvan itse. Tykkään erityisesti tavasta kuvata vettä houkuttelevalla tavalla.

Saara and Henrik found the envelope at the University yard. The envelope drew our attention with its addressing and we decided to open it rightaway. We are pondering upon the meaning of this project. The picture is beautiful and it has a good idea and I truly want to keep the picture myself. I especially like the way how the water is depicted in a tempting way.

Näin kuvan tekijän kannalta on hienoa kuulla, että kuva kuitenkin pääsi kotiin, jossa sitä arvostetaan! Erityiskiitos orpoutuneen kuvan pelastamisesta!

Oona likes both the idea and picture, which they will frame on their wall.  But for someone else the print wasn't a pleasant surprise enough! - We found  the envelope already opened at the Joensuu Mehtimäki jogging trail (July 9, 2017), so we weren't the first who found this envelope?

From my point of view it is nice to hear, that the print finally ended up in home, where it is valued! Special thank you for saving the orphaned print!

Matti löysi kirjeen Mäntän kirkon ilmoitustaululta. Hän astui kirkkoon istumaan, ja avasi kirjeen: Olin iloinen saadessani kirjeen, sillä olen joskus suunnitellut vastaavanlaista tuntemattomille osoitettua kirjoitus-tai muuta projektia.

Tulin juuri Pekilon taidenäyttelystä, joten olin sopivasti taiteelle vastaanottavaisessa tilassa. Kesä oli myös tuon näyttelyn teemana.

'Kesäpäivä II' on kiehtova kuva. Ensimmäinen ajatus kuvan myötä oli, kuinka odotukset ovat usein turhan isoja kesäpäivien varalle. Poika lautasen reunalla voi olla pettynyt tai tyytyväinen - kuva antaa katsojalleen kaksi tapaa tulkita. Kumpi onkaan se oma kokemus kesästä.

Olin menossa kauppaan etsimään lahjaa veljeni kihlatulle, jolla oli eilen syntymäpäivä. Askeleet johtivat kuitenkin kirkolle. Päätin, että tämä vedos saa ehdottomasti olla hänen lahjansa!


Matti found the envelope from the Mänttä Church notice board. He stepped into church, sat down and opened a letter: I was glad to receive this letter, because I have sometimes planned the same kind of project,  writing for unknown people or something. 

I just had arrived from the Pekilo art exhibition, so I was fittedly very receptive for art. Summer was the theme of the Pekilo exhibition also.

'Summer Day II' is a fascinating picture. My first thought was, how the expectations are often too big for summer days. The boy at the edge of a plate could be either disappointed or happy - the picture gives its viewer two ways to view it. Which one is the viewer's own experience of summer.

I was about to go and find a present for my brother's fiancé, who had a birthday yesterday. Somehow I ended to a church instead. I decided that this print is definitely the birthday gift!

Vol. 8 / Random Prints 2017

Random Prints 2017 / vol. 8 vedokset on nyt signeerattu ja pakattu. Pienen työn nimi on Kesäpäivä II ja se on kuvallista jatkoa viime kesänä Porissa toteutetulle pienemmälle Random Prints Special Edition -projektille. Vedosta on tehty yhteensä 90 kappaletta ja tällä(kin) kertaa projekti tapahtuu Suomessa. Paikoiksi on valikoitunut useampi kaupunki: Mänttä, Joensuu, Kajaani, Iitti, Lappeenranta - ja sattumalta vedoskuoreen voi törmätä myös ihan muualla.

I have now signed and packed the Random Prints 2017 / vol. 8 prints. The small artwork is called Summer Day II and it continues the theme of last year's Random Prints Special Edition. I have made 90 prints and this time (also) the event takes place in Finland, in several locations, for example in Mänttä, Joensuu, Kajaani, Iitti and Lappeenranta - and maybe, possibly, you may stumble upon one in some place else!

Mari löysi kirjeen Jyväskylän yliopiston kirjaston portailta: Minun ei ollut edes tarkoitus mennä tuona päivänä käymään kirjastossa, mutta koska tietokoneeni nettiyhteys ei toiminut, menin päiväksi opiskelemaan kirjastolle. Luettuani monta tuntia kirjatenttiä varten kävelin väsyneenä kirjastosta ulos ja huomasin portailla kirjekuoren. [...] Kotiin päästyäni avasin kirjeen ja olin iloisesti yllättynyt sen sisällöstä. Vedoksen iltatee sopii minulle täydellisesti, koska rakastan teetä ja olen iltaihminen. Uskon, että minun oli tarkoitus löytää tämä vedos, joten pistän sen omalle seinälleni!

Mari found an envelope from the stairway of the Jyväskylä University library: I wasn't even supposed to go to the library that dat, but because my net connection didn't work, I went anyway, to study. After reading several hours for an exam, I was tired when I walked outside library and noticed an envelope on the steps. [...] I opened the envelope at home, and I was positively surprised to see its contains. 'The Evening Tea' fits me perfectly because I love tea and I'm an evening person. I believe that it was meant for me to find this print, so I'll hang it on my own wall.

Fanny löysi vedoksen Jyväskylästä:  Olin kävelemässä lämpimässä iltapäiväauringossa pyöräkorjaamolle hakemaan pyörääni, ja päätin hetken mielijohteesta kiertää reitiltä hieman ja kävellä Seminaarinmäen läpi. Pysähdyin ensin ottamaan kuvaa omenapuista täydessä kukassa, ja kun laskeuduin portaat alas Jyväskylän yliopiston kirjastolle, huomasin oven vieressä ikkunalasiin nojaavan kirjekuoren. Utelias kun olen, kävelin lähemmäs nähdäkseni, kenelle kirje oli osoitettu. Oli kuin suoraan Viisikoista löytää mystinen kirje, joka vielä oli osoitettu minulle! Eilen löysin neliapilan, tänään mystisen kirjeen, jossa taideteos, mitäköhän löydän huomenna?

Fanny found the envelope in Jyväskylä: I was walking in the sunny, warm afternoon to the bike shop to pick up my bike, and I got this impulse to walk a bit different route through the Seminaarinmäki area. I first stopped to take photos of the fully blossoming apple tree, and when I then went down the stairs to the Jyväskylä University Library, I noticed that there was an envelope leaning to the window glass. Curious that I am, I walked closed to see, to whom the envelope was adressed to. It was just like from the 'Famous Five' books to find a mystical envelope, that was addressed to me! Yesterday I found a four-leaf clover, today a mystical envelope with an artwork in it, I wonder what tomorrow will bring?

Ella löysi kirjeen Jyväskylästä.  Ilahduin suuresti löytäessäni vedoksen, koko projekti toi mieleeni Amélie-elokuvan. Vedos oli mielestäni niin hieno, etten raaskinut antaa sitä kenellekään eteenpäin vaan päätin pitää sen itse ja laitoin sen huoneeni seinälle.

Ella found the envelope in Jyväskylä. I was delighted to find the print, the whole project reminded me of the film Amélie. I found the print so exquisite, that I didn't want to pass it on, but I decided to keep it myself and hang it on my room.

Anna kertoo: Löysin kirjeen yliopiston kirjaston rappusilta. Epäröin alkuun, saanko oikeasti ottaa kirjeen itselleni, mutta kirjekuoren osoitus "sinulle, kuka ikinä oletkin" kuulosti houkuttelevalta. Kun huomasin, että kyseessä oli taideprojekti, innostuin lisää! Koska olen kiinnostunut taiteista ja harrastan sitä itsekin jonkin verran, otin kirjeen nopeasti itselleni siinä pelossa, että joku muu ehtisi muuten ottaa sen ennen minua. Avasin kirjeen samantien kävellessäni kotiin ja aloin heti miettimään, kuinka hauskaa tälläisen projektin toteuttamisen täytyy olla! Vedos teekupista on kaunis. Aion antaa sen äidilleni lahjaksi tänäiltana, kun menen käymään hänen luonaan.

Anna writes: I found the envelope from the stairs of the University Library. I first hesitated to pick it, but the text upon it, 'To You Whoever You Are', sounded invitating. When I noticed that it's an art project, it made me even more excited! Because I'm interested in arts and it's also my hobby, I picked the envelope fast before anyone else got to it. I opened the envelope rightaway, as I was walking back home, and I started to think about how fun it must be to make this kind of project! The print of the tea cup is beautiful. I'm planning to give it to my mother as a gift, when I go to visit her this evening.

Terhi found the print from the Jyväskylä Artists' Association Artotheque: I had to ask the personnel, if I really got to keep this. [...] 'An evening tea' print will be placed on my own wall. In the print, the day, evening tea, the experiences throughout the day, and peacefulness of evening are combined. The starry sky is steaming in a cup, and even the moon is rising.

Nimetön kertoo löytäneensä kirjeen kirjastolta, mutta ei aio pitää vedosta itse: Kun tämän jälkeen kävelin kadulla, vastaan tuli tupakoiva henkilö. En pystynyt väistämään, koska kävelykadulle oli pystytetty este. Ajattelin, että tarvitsen kortin, jonka voin lahjoittaa vastaantulijalle ja jossa on terveiset: Ethän tupakoi kadulla. Lahjoitan vedoksen seuraavalle henkilölle, joka kävelee kadulla vastaan tupakoiden. Tupakansavu vie hengitysilman. Savuton ihminen on kaunis. Miksi kaunis ihminen tupakoi?

Anonymous person tells that she/he found the envelope from the library, but won't be keeping it for himself/herself: After finding the envelope, I was walking down the street and when a person who smoked came towards me. I couldn't avoid walking right past this person, because there was an obstacle on the walkway. I thought I would need some kind of card that I could give, with a greetings: Please, don't smoke on the street. I will give this print to the next smoking person I meet on the street. The smoke steals your breathing air. A non-smoking person is beautiful. Why does a beautiful person smoke?

Linda found the print in the tourist office in Helsinki some months ago: Interestingly, I'm a tea lover, so was thrilled to find the print waiting just for me. Now it's in my office here in Helsinki, where I'm enjoying it. I plan to keep it.

Emmi ehti ensin kulkea kirjeen ohitse, vaikka ehtikin lukea, mitä kirjekuoreen oli kirjoitettu ("Sinulle, kuka ikinä oletkin"). Hän kuitenkin päätti palata ja napata kuoren käsiinsä: Teos "An Evening Tea" on oikein sopiva, sillä juon hyvin paljon teetä ja löysin kirjekuoren ollessani hakemassa postista lähetystä, joka sisälsi matcha-teen valmistuksessa käytettävän vispilän.

Emmi first walked past the envelope, although she had read the text ("To You Whoever You Are") on the envelope. However, she decided to go back and pick the envelope: The print called "An Evening Tea" was just right, because I drink a lot of tea, and I found the envelope as I went to post office to pick a parcel, which included a whisk used in making matcha tea.

Anna writes: We thought this was a really delightful surprise and fun to think that the print is one-of-a-kind. We decided that I'll take the print and see if I'm going to keep it or give it to someone else. I love the print's colors and aesthetics so I might frame it and keep it. :)

Jonna found the envelope from entrance hall of university library. She writes: It felt really personal eventhough it could have been anyone who could have have it. Somehow artwork also felt very personal because I'm a "nightowl" who gets inspired at night time and loves tea! It can't be coincidence?

At one Sunday evening I received email from Lazar who found the print when he was on his excursion in high school - many years ago: It's been literally years since I've found the print. [...] Counting the years, that makes it 4 or 5 years ago! Being a teenager, I completely forgot about it and I've seen the envelope today. I thought I was probably way too late but the web-site is still active, to my surprise.

The print's been with me this long, so I'm leaving it with me. Only this time, I'm leaving it on my desk instead of hidden in the depths of my bookshelf.

It's an interesting project. I'm not much of a traveler myself though, but I'm always fascinated to hear about different cultures.

Heidi löysi kirjeen jo ennen joulua: Olimme mieheni kanssa Kauppatorin kauppahallissa lauantailounaalla, jolloin silmäni osuivat kirjeeseen. Vähän epäröiden tartuin kirjeeseen ja avasin sen. Teos "an evening tea" oli kuin minulle henkilökohtaisesti tehty. Iltatee kuuluu jokailtaiseen rauhoittumiseeni ja siksi halusin kehystää teoksesi keittiömme seinälle Katajanokan kotiimme. Siellä se siis ihastuttaa meitä päivittäin.


Heidi found the envelope already before the Christmas: My husband and I were at The Old Market Hall on a Saturday lunch, when I noticed the envelope. I hesitated to take the letter, but I took it and opened it. The print 'An evening tea' was like personally made for me. An evening tea is my way of unwinding every evening, and that is why I wanted to frame your work on our kitchen wall in our Katajanokka home. There it continues to delight us every day.

Fabio is an Italian, currently living in Finland and he found the print at the train station in Oulu and took it to his home in Vicenza, Italy.

"I opened the letter for curiosity and kept it because I fell in love with the project. To me Art is something that has to suggest and fascinate, a way to introduce to ourselves a new stream of thoughts, and I think that this project is amazing.
